affe's long neck helps to reach tall trees that have leaves and twigs.

The Giraffe has a very strong and tough tongue that it uses to strip the leaves and twigs from the trees. Their tongue is around 46 centimetres long that they use to reach around the thorns.

On average Giraffe's eat for 16 - 20 hours per day

A Giraffe can go without water for more than 7 days.
When they do however drink water they drink more than 10 litres of water at one time.



Giraffe's are herbivores which means they do not eat meat
